Mrs. Temple O’Connor

Middle School Electives

Mrs. Temple O’Connor is happy to be a part of the Galileo family as a Middle School Spanish, Home Economics and Interior Design teacher. Mrs. O’Connor received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a second major in Spanish from Elmira College in New York.  She completed her graduate work at the University of Central Florida earning a Master’s Degree in Education.  She is certified to teach Elementary Education as well as Spanish (K-12).  During her undergraduate years, Mrs. O’Connor was fortunate to have many study-abroad experiences which allowed her to attend Universidad Nacional in Heredia, Costa Rica, student-teach English to first graders in Ecuador and attend a language school in Salamanca, Spain.  Other countries she has visited include South Korea, Panama, Nicaragua, England, France, Italy, Scotland, and Germany.  One of her main passions is travelling to new places and experiencing different cultures.

Mrs. O’Connor has taught Spanish at Lake Highland Preparatory Lower School, The Christ School and Sweetwater Episcopal Academy.  After having her two children, she taught six years at First Years Preschool.

Mrs. O’Connor resides in Oviedo with her husband, Ryan, and two children, Callan and Isla.  For hobbies, she enjoys photography, reading, sewing, camping, visiting her family in Maine and supporting her children in all their endeavors.
