Mr. Paul Pasante-Ortiz

Middle School Social Studies

Mr. Ortiz has been part of the amazing team at Galileo for the past 4 years; 3 of which have been in 2nd grade (Go Team Primary!). He has also been a LEGO Robotics coach for 3 years, leads the afterschool Middle School Rock Band elective, and emcees school assemblies.

Originally from New Jersey, where he was born and raised, Mr. Ortiz previously taught in Harrison, New Jersey for a Newark charter school for 3 years. He greatly enjoyed his time there and the relationships that he built with students and faculty alike.

He graduated Cum Laude from Rowan University with degrees in Education, specializing in Elementary Education, and History. In his spare time, Mr. Ortiz enjoys playing music, specifically the guitar, bass, and singing. He has been playing for over 10 years covering a wide variety of artists and enjoys writing his own music too. He also enjoys exploring new and familiar places in Florida and spending time with his family who were the motivation for his move to Florida and Galileo.

He loves Galileo and being a part of the special community that the school has created!
