Dr. Michele Gregoire Gill
Chair
Dr. Michele Gill is the founder of Galileo School, current Board chairperson, and Curriculum Committee chair. She is a professor of educational psychology at the University of Central Florida and program coordinator for the doctorate in curriculum and instruction program at UCF. She has five years of teaching experience in the public school system. Dr. Gill has received numerous awards for her teaching and research, including national recognition as a Citizen-Psychologist by the American Psychological Association in 2018. Her research focuses on teachers’ beliefs, conceptual change, and school and curriculum reform, particularly in mathematics education. Dr. Gill is the co-editor of The International Handbook of Research on Teachers’ Beliefs. She is the mom of two boys who have both thrived under the care of Galileo’s rockstar teachers and administration. As Chair, she brings to the Board her mission as vision-keeper for the school, as well her extensive background in teaching and educational reform.
