Ms. Chelsea Siegmund
Middle School Science
Chelsea Siegmund is a graduate of Central Michigan University, with a degree in Elementary Education with additional certifications in Middle School Math, and Middle School Language Arts. With a desperate desire to abandon snowy winters, she moved to Florida in 2009, and has spent the past 13 years teaching in Lake and Orange County.
After teaching 5th, 6th, and 8th grade math for seven years, the most spectacular thing happened to her–she was forced to teach her very least favorite subject: science. And the rest is history! She fell in love with science in a way she never did as a student, and promptly earned her science certification. She has spent the past six years teaching 5th-8th grade science, and high school level biology, earth/space science, and physical science…all at the same time! Ms. Siegmund values hands-on experiences, exploration, and collaboration. She is so excited to be at Galileo!
Outside of school, Ms. Siegmund loves reading, all things dogs (especially her sweet boy, Breccan), a not-yet very successful attempt at vegetable gardening, and watching as much high school basketball as she can when her favorite person in the world (her niece, Delaney) is playing.
